What is a Christian?
For me, the term Christian simply means, "One who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ and attempts to follow as closely as possible in the footsteps of His life." The term directly implies that I believe in the humanity of Christ, and the deity of Christ. It also implies that I believe the chief purpose of Jesus coming into the world was to offer Himself as a sacrifice to atone for my sin, and that it is by His blood covering that I am put in right standing (justified) before God. Finally, it implies that I believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, that He rose to life on the third day after his death on the cross.
And this means...?
For business purposes, this means I will present every effort necessary to show integrity, honesty, fairness, and adherence to the law in my business practices. I will take whatever steps are necessary to make sure that I do as Christ commanded me: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
You are my neighbor.
